Graft or grafting

Graft or grafting in dental definition terms is tissue or artificial material that is grafted to other tissue to repair damage. See bone graft.
Local Anesthetic

A local anesthetic numbs a specific area of the body leaving the patient conscious. As opposed to a general anesthetic which effects the entire body and renders the patient unconscious.
General Anesthetic

A general anesthetic effects the entire body and leaves the patient unconscious. As opposed to a local anesthetic which numbs a specific area, with the patient remaining conscious.
Fluoridation

Fluoridation involves adding fluoride to the water supply to help prevent tooth decay. Fluoridation is a contentious policy and there is no blanket implementation in the UK. Good diet and good oral hygiene could be just as effective, without the additional health risks that fluoridation may create.
