Now dentistry abroad: free Irish dentistry ends

Those living in Ireland are horrified that they will no longer have access to free dental care by 2010.

It was announced last Thursday (17 December 2009) that those who have pay related social insurance (PRSI) won’t be eligible for free dentistry next year. I’ve heard that some people will be eligible for dentistry, but only one free check-up per year.

Here at Piestany dental clinic in Slovakia, dental check-ups are always free, no matter how many times you decide to go to the dentist. We also provide free x-rays, consultations, temporary crowns, help with finding accommodation, a 24 hour email reply policy, and free airport transfer.

Personally, believe that the new PRSI plans will wipe out the Irish dental health system which has been built-up over the last 50 years. It’s a sad year for Irish dentistry.

If you are looking to have dental implants or crowns and bridges done in the near future and want to save time and lots of money, just take a quick cheap flight from Dublin to our clinic, and you’ll return home with a smile that you can’t wipe off your face 🙂
