Titanium

Titanium (Ti) is a light, corrosion resistant, metal used within the process of placing a dental implant and crown. All of the implants used at Smile Clinic are made from titanium. It’s an ideal material as it rarely causes problems after it has been placed in the mouth of a patient.
Abutments
An abutment is a small connector post used to securely join a dental implant and crown. Abutments are inserted once the implant is fully integrated within a patient’s mouth and healing time has elapsed. The new tooth (crown) can then be securely attached to the abutment/implant.
