Budapest, as well as being Hungary’s capital, is considered by many as the “dentistry capital” of Europe.
While other European countries such as Slovakia, Poland, The Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia and Turkey have been visited by their fair share of “dental tourists”, Budapest has the long tradition of providing cheaper dentistry for those from Austria and Germany (German speaking countries).
At the last count, there are over 2000 dental clinics within Hungary that advertise to “dental tourists” making it often tough to find the best dental clinic for you.
Budapest is split by the Danube, which runs through from Germany, Austria and Slovakia. Buda is to the west and Pest to the east of the Danube. Budapest has a population of approximately 1.7 million people. The city’s World Heritage sites include: the Banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrassy Avenue and the Millennium Underground Railway. Budapest attracts around twenty million visitors a year.
