Piestany Dental Clinic, based in the spa town of Piestany in Slovakia, has become the latest to receive accreditation under the Code of Practice for Medical Tourism of Treatment Abroad.
According to independent assessor Andrew Wilby, ”Piestany Dental Clinic has demonstrated its adoption of the Code of Practice for Medical Tourism. The process to demonstrate compliance to the standards has taken some months as the Clinic has changed some of its business practices to comply with the Code. The clinic’s website has been further developed to provide additional information to patients about its services and treatments.
The clinic, during the process of accreditation, made some improvements in their information and website for the benefit of patients. The strong points in relation to information are the details about the clinic’s staff, pricing of treatments and instructions for patients.”
For the last sixteen years, owners Daniel Shaw and Dr. Mark Salka have run a specialist dental clinic for British visitors. The clinic specialises in aesthetic smile reconstructions and cosmetic dentistry such as porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, bridges and dental implants. Costs are anything up to 70% cheaper than in the UK.
Dr Salka, who was a dentist in London, limits himself to a maximum of 3 UK clients a day, ensuring that people receive full personal attention and can receive an appointment within 2 weeks ahead.
All dental work is guaranteed for 5 years minimum as they only use EU certified materials from Germany, Switzerland and the USA. The dentist is a member of the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists) and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Slovak Chamber of Dentists.
